I was very fortunate to be invited to document this Scottish castle, and the people who made it their home, as it was finally handed into new care after a forty year restoration and residence.
Its very special atmosphere, both imposing and intimate, grand and comfortable, makes it just as delightful a home today as it must have been when built over 500 years ago.
This was, unusually for me, a purely photographic project; the only digital interventions were cropping and toning.
